In 1989 WA8ZWJ and W8JUK collaborated on the first IOOK Newsletter. It was sent via snail mail as well. The I.O.O.K. Theme song was introduced in this issue! The words to the theme song appear at the bottom of this page. Also, one of our more prominent sayings was used as well "I'd have answered sooner, but, I was asleep" which has been updated by our Technology Committee as "Code Alpha"!
Below, Chas, KA5UPM, "guards" the keg in the flea market. N5AAA is "Code Alpha". And the Jim Beam is full again!

And if Bob isn't there, we’re not at a loss,
He’s easily replaced by N0BIX or HOSS!!!

JUK no doubt will preside over all,
As he bellows out the following roll call;
On FISHER, on FARLEY, on FIELDER, on HARTMAN,

Who’d we leave?

If you see a blue hat

Some groups last forever,
