Well, we have the flyer from 1988.
However, we have yet to locate the newsletter from 1988. In 1988 WA8ZWJ and WD8CJD moved into their home on Haber Road which has become to home of "The Gathering Of The Faithful" ever since. Below are some photos taken about that time.
When ZWJ and CJD moved into their new home, WA8EEA made a house warming gift of a half gallon of Jim Beam with a pan that was attached to the bottom of the bottle at "The Gathering Of The Faithful". The pan on the bottom had a bunch of rocks in it, so, it was a gift of Jim Beam on the rocks! A tradition got started that the following year when ZWJ gave it back the empty bottle to EEA saying that it was defective. The following year, EEA presented ZWJ with a full half gallon of Jim Beam on the rocks!

WA5ZAI is the next close up followed by N8ADN's daughter, Heather. Bottom left is Diane and KA8ZBV. In the flea market we see KL7RF, WA1WPI, KB8HUZ and WA8MSD.
The wooden structure shown above was the support for a dining fly to protect the group from the sun and rain. Man, things have come a long way since then!
