Back early in June, Vice President Charlie, NN3V sent a note and some pictures regarding his most recent encounter with Richard, VK5UK. In Charlie's own words "The first and second pictures are good shots of the brew we started with. Nothing like Mississippi Mud to kick off a great chat! Eli and I were quite intrigued by the absolutely fascinating impressions Richard and his brother Adrian gave us of the visit and drive across the United States."
"The third and fourth pictures are the beginning of the 'assimilation in the IOOK' wherein I began the presentation of the shirt to him. By the way, I kidded Richard informing him that he had already paid his lifetime appointment 'dues' to the IOOK since he had visited the IOOK booth and spent appropriate amounts at the Dayton HamVention and that was more valuable than any amount of Australian sheckles he could ever pay!"

Below is a scanned copy of Richard's certificate. There were some problems with the original copies of the certificate which caused the delay in getting this series posted.

ED Note: Judging by Charlie's signature, he really should have been a doctor!

Continuing in Charlie's words: "We also found out that yesterday was Richard's birthday. This was discovered when we sat down to have dinner. Never one to shy from the task, Eli prepared a 'birthday cake' and Richard is shown blowing out the candles."
"The IOOK now has yet another international Vice President!"
Respectfully submitted, Charles Ristorcelli, NN3V, Vice President I.O.O.K.
