Bruce,
W6RBM (Vice President of the Palm Springs, CA IOOK Chapter) had occasion to
travel to San Diego on company business (that dirty word “WORK”).
In
doing so, he would drive directly past Charlie’s, NN3V (Vice President of the

arranged to meet on one of the local repeaters, and that transformed into a
“mini gathering” of the IOOK.
Dinner
was arranged at the home QTH, with NN3V serving as Chef (a continuation of his
IOOK Dayton Hamvention duties). The menu was fresh guacamole (from the QTH
avocado trees) and chips, salad, broiled salmon a-la-Mexicain, Spanish rice, and
