The
IOOK Poway
In
attendance were IOOK VPs Loyd (K8EI), Charlie (NN3V), and their respective YLs
Judy and Eli.
The
gathering began with a celebration of Judy’s birthday with appropriate cake
and candles. As it was early in the morning (10:00 AM) pastries were
served in order to tide Loyd’s metabolism over until the schedule 12:00 PM
lunch.
As
needed, the IOOK Poway chapter limousine was engaged to transport the party to
the Claim Jumper restaurant where a good time was had by all, and another
celebration of Judy’s birthday took place.
On
returning to NN3V’s QTH, Loyd and Charlie repaired to the ham shack to admire
and observe Charlie’s brand new Yaesu FT-5000DX transceiver. Because of
the superior technology built into all Yaesu products, the
