NN3V headed off into the Ocean for the yearly winter long-range fishing
trip. Departing from Sportfisher's landing in San Diego, the long range trip
lasted 11 days, due to return the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. 2 days out, and 2 days back, would give the anglers 7 solid days of fishing.
The fish shown by NN3V is a Dorado (also known as Mahi-Mahi). Simply DELICIOUS, and one heck of a good fight to land.
All in all, NN3V caught 12 Dorado, and 13 Yellow-fin tuna, for a total of 400 lbs of fish, that when filleted and sealed in vacuum bags, yielded 150
lbs of fresh fish.

Good photos of the good ship Red Rooster III. Also, NN3V displaying one of his custom made rigs, and of course beautiful sunset in the Pacific Ocean, close to Cabo San Lucas and the sea of Cortez. The flat calm prevailed during all 11 days of the trip.

The fishing trip included an option to fly back to San Diego from Cabo San Lucas. A beautiful resort area, filled with very nice sights (har, har). NN3V did not fly back, choosing instead a gentle 2 day relaxation on the way back to san Diego on Red Rooster III. Time to sleep, learn about fishing knots from the crew on the boat, and reading enjoyment.

All in all, a FABULOUS TRIP. Next one is in June 2007.
