WA8MSD Fishing Lake Erie

posted 8/8/07

Last month Lee, WA8MSD took a fishing trip to Lake Erie with a group of guys from where he works (The Dupps company).

In Lee's own words:  "Here are the monster pictures from my last Lake Erie outing  with the Dupps boys.  We only took pictures of the two biggest.  Mine was 28" long and 8 lbs (actual) and John's was 28" long and 10 lbs.  Would you believe I didn't have my camera with me and had to buy a throw away at the fish cleaning station?  That is why they are faded out.  We took the pictures after the fish had been in the cooler for a while.  Also Frank Dupps Jr. took the pictures and he was still in the boat and we were on the dock.  As you can see from the pictures, John's was much higher and thicker than mine.  Regardless, these were both really nice fish and much bigger than the average summer Walleye.  Both qualified for "Fish Ohio".  We caught our limit of 24 fish (4 fisherman) in less than 3 hours for a grand total of 69 pounds (measured at the cleaning station)."

Top left below is Lee with his 8 pound Walleye and top right below is John with his 10 pound Walleye.

Congratulations to Lee and John for qualifying for "Fish Ohio" - whatever that is!  :-)

Thanks to Lee for submitting the photos!
