Mansfield Hamfest

Howdy all!  Well, the Dayton IOOK Hamfest Flea Market Store paid a visit to the Mansfield, Ohio Hamfest today.  Dave, N8DRM, Lou, N8KXM and Keith, WA8ZWJ traveled up from the Dayton area on Saturday and stayed overnight so they could get an early start selling in the flea market.  While at the hamfest, the Flea Market Store salesmen had the pleasure of seeing some other IOOK'ers including Rick, KK8O, Sam WA8VIW and his XYL, Gail!  As always, a fun time as had!

Lou managed to find a box which contained something kind of unusual!  :-)  I wonder how they package that?  In the new toy department, ZWJ picked up a couple of movies, a laser level and a laser level tripod and a sweatshirt for Marian, WD8CJD.  KXM also picked up one of the laser level and a laser level tripod's, some torroids, a 100' network cable, some banana plugs, 100' of RG-213 coax cable and a mouse extension cable.  DRM bought a Kenwood TH75A dual band HT, a Kenwood BC-71 rapid charger for the new HT, two double A battery packs for the new HT, a Butt set and a ni-mh AA rapid battery charger.  Selling was fairly brisk and DRM commented that he will have to work hard to come up with some suitable merchandise for future Hamfest Flea Market Sales events!  He nearly sold out of hamfest wares!  ZWJ managed to come home with one tub less stuff than he took!  Sadly, one of the items that still did not sell was Poor Old Yorick!  Poor Yorick!!!

The Mansfield Hamfest has a long tradition and is always well attended.  The three County Fairgrounds buildings were full of commercial and flea market vendors and had very few empty tables (it was announced that only 7 tables were unsold in all three buildings).

Best 73!  Respectfully submitted, Vice President IOOK, Keith, WA8ZWJ
