In August Lou, N8KXM and Sandi (no call yet) found a place in Miami County about ten miles north of their place in Englewood and started the procedure for purchasing it. It has a second living area that is great for Lou's step dad, Jack.
Below you see the house looking from the northwest towards the southeast. When this series of photos were taken the movers had not yet moved the big stuff. Jack's basic stuff had been moved in and Lou and Sandi were moving the small stuff a load at a time. Lou had an aunt give him a desk and matching credenza. Lou asked Zed W. Jay to assist by using his van and trailer to move the desk and credenza. Lou's son Charlie assisted with the back work and lifting.

The place looks quite different now that the furniture has been moved.

Below you see a panorama shot of the back of the house and yard from near the fence at the edge of the property line.

Lou figures it will probably be spring before he will get a chance to dig a hole and plant the base section for the tower.

Last Monday Lou rented a truck to finish moving the little stuff that the movers didn't move. He had placed it all in the garage, so it was a process of moving the contents of his old garage to the new garage. Since WB8NSL was in town, he assisted ZWJ and KXM in filling the truck and unloading it. Actually, the photographer was a bit busy, so, not a lot of shots were taken.

After the truck was emptied, the group celebrated with some draft beer! You know, having a tap handy in the garage is a pretty good idea!
Below left, Lou shows his DSL modem as he says "Eat your heart out WB8WIQ!"

Best wishes to Lou, Sandi and Jack in their new abode!
