Well
after almost a year of living in Tennessee, we
finally got the 444.775 MHz. repeater installed
today (
It
is a Motorola Micor repeater and I have added a 2
meter remote base built from an ic2at handie-talkie.
You can steer all the two meter
frequencies via touch tone through the uhf repeater. In
addition to the 2 meter remote base, it has a 24 hr ECHOLINK connection. The
node number is 23624. It is located
approx 180 foot above ground level. The antennas are Phelps-Dodge
station master antennas (one for uhf and one for 2 meters.) It’s
a pretty good site as we have a clear shot to the horizon
in all directions.
Now
when I travel, I can get on echolink and talk back
to the
