KF8KK has been quite the repeater guru for many years.
This past summer he added a 220 MHz link to his UHF repeater.
The 220 machine that he is linking to is located in Stutzmanville 66 miles away from the repeater site. Now,
in addition to the 220 link, there is also a 6 meter repeater and 2 meter
simplex link into “THE SYSTEM”
as well.
Since
the 220 link was added to the system, the repeater ID on the 220 repeater not
only identifies the 220 machine but also identifies John’s repeater system as
follows: “This is the WB8DEL
repeater system in Stutzmanville and the wI0OK repeater system Empire”.
It is great to know that a colleague recognizes the power of the KF8KK
system (with the club call wI0OK) as an Empire!
After a very short dialogue with other users of the Empire, it was
decided that John, KF8KK must be Emperor
of the repeater system Empire!

Once he found out about this, John said "Well, wow... I guess I should put one of those gold crowns I have on my head now.... har har... Emperor. I'm sure you mean Supreme Emperor of Empire.... ahem... harumph.... Does this mean I can "knight" people?..... Oh well..."
Hmm, since you ARE the Emperor, you can name your position as you care to, so, your eminence, we shall call you "The Supreme Emperor of the wI0OK repeater system Empire"! I'm not sure if you can "Knight" people, but I feel certain you can "dawn" on a few! Har!

We met Johnny today and was able to attend the "Coronation" as Johnny was dubbed "The Emperor of the wI0OK Repeater System Empire!" Congratulations Johnny! Er.....a......Emperor Johnny......er....Your Emperorship.....a..... As you will see, Johnny looked quite regal and did not have a lot to say about his appointment. All Hamhock had to say was "Harumph!"
