These shots were taken in September of 2012.
Here's the frame that Al started with partially
assembled.

This is the floor of the camper.

Leaning against the wall is the mattress Al purchased for
the project.

Here is some of the wood to be used for the project.

The rest of these photos were taken on 9/27/13...
Here's a look at the front and the right side. The
aluminum has been applied to the top and front.

The aluminum will be glued and screwed to insure a secure seal against the weather.
Here's the front and left side.

This is a look at the outdoor kitchen in the back of the
camper.

Notice the beautiful wood work Al has done! It is like this throughout
the camper!
Here's a look inside. This is from the right side
looking towards the front.

Here's the inside from the right side looking towards the
back.

Here's a better shot of the right side. The aluminum
and doors need to be added.

This is the rear hatch cover that Al has built. It is
laying on the back of the Orange Cycle.

This is the cook stove that Al will be using!

This is the storage box that will be added on the frame in
the front.

This is one of the doors. Aluminum will be added to
this as well.

Here Al is holding one of the windows for one of the doors.

This is the electrical center for the camper. It is
located below the kitchen cabinet top on the right bottom side. The
battery will be installed in the storage box up front.

Here is where the camper will interface with the outside
world. The top device is to add fresh water to the storage tank.
Bottom right is where he can hook up a hose and use a water hook up.
Bottom left is for the external electric supply hook up.

Al said he could use a bit of help while Dave - W8TVC and
Keith - WA8ZWJ were there. We managed to slide the hatch in place along
it's special hinge until things got tight here.

The hinge is a special weather tight hinge that runs the full width of the
hatch.
After a bit of encouragement with a hammer and a block of
wood the hatch is in place in it's open configuration!

Now Al is attaching the pistons that will hold the hatch
open when he is using the kitchen.

Looking good! Things will need some minor
adjustments.

If you look carefully, you can see the block of wood in Al's hand where he is
tapping the block of wood with a hammer to make a minor adjustment.
It is a tight fit and will need a few more minor
adjustments but progress is being made!

This is the water distribution center under the sink on the
left bottom of the kitchen area.

It was time for lunch! We went into Evart to the All
American Cafe!

A kind patron took a photo of our group as we headed into
the restaurant!

We had a dandy lunch! It was great seeing the progress that Al has made on his camper project! When we get more photos I will add them below.
Best wishes to Al in completing his project! Thanks for sharing with us!

He has sent along a few photos of the finished product!
Hooked up to the pickup and ready to hit the
open road!

Inside the left door looking towards the right rear...

Inside the same door looking towards the
front...

Inside shot of the right rear. You can
see the door handle and window installed in the door...

Of course, the doors look like fit like a glove!
Beautiful!
The outdoor kitchen area in the back...

Close up of the sink area...

Another look at the left side and back...

WOW! What a beautiful job! There is no question that Big Al has a talent for working with wood!
Congratulations to Big Al on finishing his big job!
The next question is where will he take it first?
Many thanks to Big Al for sharing these photos and filling us in on on the final look!

Here's a shot of something someone sent in when they heard that Big Al was building a tear drop camper...

Obviously Big Al has bigger ambitions than the guy who built this one!
Keep smilin'!

Big Al says "I
have found a great way to go trail and two track camping with comfort. See
the attachment."

ED Note - Wow! With the Orange Cycle pulling that light camper he should be able to go just about anywhere!
