Joplin Hamfest 2017

Jim - W5JCS sent along a few shots from the Joplin hamfest.

Jim says "Saturday Dan K5FVL and I drove to Joplin MO for a hamfest.  The Joplin Hamfest pulls people out of St. Louis, Kansas City, Tulsa, and Oklahoma City.  It is a big hamfest that is very well run in a wonderful venue."

Bob Heil lived not far from Joplin. He had a booth and had a new product he is working to develop for the ham market.

There is a photo attached of Don, WA5FFK.  Don was my Elmer many years ago.  He give me my Novice exam and helped get me started on the air.  He loaned me his Hallicrafter SX-99 and a Johnson Adventure TX which I used to make many successful Novice contacts on the air.
