On Saturday, July 9th, 2005 the IOOK attended the Indianapolis Hamfest! WA8ZWJ had arrived in Indy the night before on his way home from Michigan. N8DRM drove over from Dayton the night before to get an early jump on the flea market with ZWJ. As luck would have it, N5AAA and KA9VQS were in Indiana visiting relatives and managed to stop by the hamfest as they traveled from one visit to another! Incredible! Unfortunately, John, W9KD was in Holland on business and missed the hamfest. However, Bill, N9AYD did stop by and had his picture taken with our President! But first, an officer who was roaming through the flea market spotted KBob's mixed drink and decided to chat with him about it. KBob, the slick tongued devil he is, managed to convince the officer that it was just iced tea! Yeah right!
There was a dog with a camera mounted to his head that was wandering through the flea market that snapped this shot and sent it to me! Great, eh?
We had a great time! Also, please note, the new sunshade that is shown in one of the shots above was donated to the traveling flea market set up by N8DRM! Many thanks Dave!
