Hamfest regulars in the southwest, Neal - N5KCO, Al -
AE5CJ, and Joseph - WA5FLT. They got started early and drove the 150 miles
from Calumet, OK to Claremore, OK to be there when the doors opened at
0800. They are waiting for the ARRL Forum to start. The forum was
excellent. A presentation on digital modes given by WR1B Larry Wolfgang
from the League Headquarters. Larry writes a column in QST and is the
Editor of QEX. Very well prepared presentation, interesting and
informative.

The official lunch place

Neal waiting for lunch at "Cotton-eyed Joe's,"
our favorite BBQ in historic Claremore. Neal drives the group to the
hamfest so he was not able to nap while traveling in the early morning dark on
the prairie from west central OK to just north of Tulsa.

Our sweet waitress puts up with IOOK high-jinks while
taking the order. She was great as is the BBQ at "Cotton-Eyed
Joe's."
