Betty, KC8PCQ was kind enough to make reservations for those IOOK'ers interested in staying overnight so we would all be in the same motel. The rooms were fantastic and so was the camaraderie! Even Flat KBob came to the arena to oversee the unloading of the flea market goodies in preparation for Saturday and Sunday's hamfest. Imagine our surprise when Tom, WN5TL from Tyler, Texas showed up in front of the booth. As an Ohioan, Tom had attended a number of the Ft. Wayne Hamfests in the past and he took advantage of some frequent flyer miles to join the IOOK and some other Ham friends from the Springfield, Ohio area to take in the hamfest! John, KF8KK came to the Farley Flophouse a day earlier to pick up an engine that will be discussed in another Photo Page pictorial in the spring. Another Tom, WD8JPP brought his granddaughter, Molly (no call yet) to the hamfest. Her older sister has her license! Grandpa Tom feels sure that it won't be long and Molly will be on the air as well!

The picture group below shows a few of the IOOK'ers seen at the hamfest.

Glenn, W8AK doesn't like having his picture taken. I won't tell you how many shots ended up on the cutting room floor before I managed to capture these shots of Glenn. Glenn's group's table was next to ours! This provided us with a rare opportunity to agitate and bug one another throughout the day on Saturday. Typically, Glenn does not stay overnight or come back to the hamfest on Sunday, so we were able to use his table to expand our space on Sunday! Here are more shots of IOOK'ers at the hamfest.

Here are a couple more IOOK'er shots as well as a shot of John calling John to ask him why they weren't at the hamfest! Congratulations to Big Al and Lenore on their 40th Anniversary! Even though the gang celebrated their anniversary Saturday night, the actual date was Sunday. Best wishes to the happy couple!

John checks the oil in his engines! He really believes in being prepared! Back ups for EVERYTHING!

As per tradition, the Daytonians stopped by the "Back Forty Junction" in Decatur, Indiana for a fantastic feast on the way home from the hamfest!
A fantastic time was had by all! The Ft. Wayne Hamfest is always a fun time! Make plans now to attend if you missed this year!
