Back early in September, John, KF8KK began his Pinto project (went into "Grease Ducky" mode). Amongst the planned improvements were to have the engine and transmission rebuilt. This past Friday (October 10th) he picked up the engine from the re-builder. He spent the day Saturday painting the engine and reassembling all the items that he could install with the engine including the transmission which had been picked up at an earlier date. Today he finished bolting on parts and installed the engine and transmission together with Dad's able assistance. He still has a lot of work to do before it is ready to run but today marked an important goal in the project!
Congratulations John! 10/12/03
Today I took a drive to try to catch some of the fall color before it gets blown away with the predicted wind and rain. Also, I put away the extension cord that powers the "tree light", so it is turned off. Since "Sir Charles" seems to think it ought to be turned on all the time, I am hoping he will rise to the occasion and bury an electric cable.
