Today the IOOK's Die Hard Hamfest Committee attended the Massillon Hamfest in Canton, Ohio
We took a leisure drive up to the Canton (near Akron) area on Saturday, checked into our motel and enjoyed a leisure dinner followed by a cigar and a bit of Maker's Mark.
This morning we got an early start (which was easy since we had an extra hour's sleep) and we arrived at the hamfest a good hour before the doors opened to the public. Sales we pretty steady all morning even though attendance may have been hampered by rainy weather. We closed up shop and headed home about 12:45 - that is about the earliest we have left a hamfest in recorded history!
Among new toys, I picked up a stealth camera and Dave picked up a Kenwood TH-41AT (with tone board) complete with the original box and sales slip from the late 80's!
