Findlay Hamfest 2010

posted 9/13/10

Keith, WA8ZWJ and Marian, WD8CJD headed towards Findlay, Ohio the day before the hamfest.  On their way they decided to stop in Wapakoneta at the Neil Armstrong Space and Air Museum.

here is what the above information is telling us about

the entrance to the Neil Armstrong Museum

If you have never visited this museum we feel it is well worth your time!

From there they continued north and spent the afternoon doing a bit of this and that.  Dinner was at City BBQ.

At Oh Dark Thirty Sunday morning we headed to the fairgrounds to begin setting up for the flea market.

Rick, KK8O was the first of the IOOK'ers we had the pleasure to encounter!  You can see the sun trying to peak out behind him.

Here we are  - all set up and the daylight is finally upon us!

Another IOOK'er blesses us with his presence!

Here's a couple more IOOK'ers!

Marian poses for a picture with Flat KBob!

Here Sandi takes advantage of Flat KBob since the real KBob doesn't travel much any more.

As you can see, we had beautiful weather for the hamfest!  Yes, it was a bit breezy at times, but gorgeous!

Here the group ambles towards the final drawing at 2PM.  The flea market space is all packed up and we are ready to head to lunch!

The hamfest was well attended and we sold a number of items!  We also had a fun time seeing so many of the folks we know.

It is now time to start planning for our trip to Fort Wayne in November!
