A fun day was had at the Findlay Hamfest on Sunday, September 13, 2009. Here is the front page of the flyer that the club sent out prior to the event.

WD8CJD and WA8ZWJ went up to Findlay the day before the hamfest, as is their custom, for a get-away weekend. They stopped by the hamfest site to check things out and get some info regarding the opening of the flea market gate for the following morning.

Below is a shot of the Hancock (County) Emergency Amateur Radio Services trailer.

Below is a shot of one of the vendors that had set up the day before the hamfest.

Flat KBob and WA8ZWJ arrived in the flea market about 6AM.

Below is a shot of our booth once things were set up.

WA8ZWJ had purchased an extra space so Glenn and his gang could set up next to our booth.

Below are some shots of the guys seen at the hamfest that many of us know and many are IOOK'ers.

Unfortunately, no one that we knew won any prizes.

Several folks made the comment that the flea market was larger than it had been in past years. The hamfest seemed well attended and we even sold a number of the "items" that were on our tables. Glenn and Keith prepared their paperwork for the upcoming Ft. Wayne Hamfest which will occur on November 14th and 15th. It is not too early for you to begin making your plans to attend that event with the IOOK!
After listening to the prize drawing for the unclaimed door prizes and major prizes awarded, Fast Eddie and Keith went to the motel and picked up Marian, who had been enjoying a leisure day and they went to an all-you-can eat pizza buffet for a late lunch.
There is no question that a good time was had by all!
Best 73, Keith, WA8ZWJ
